The men’s singles tournament at the US Open has been near dominated in recent times by tennis’s big three players (who else?); Roger Federer has five wins, Rafa Nadal has a treble, while Novak Djokovic has also lifted the trophy at Flushing Meadows on three occasions.

The US Open tennis tournament is primed to stir up plenty of drama once again this year.

The big players will all return to New York in a bid to topple last year’s champions Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka.

Serbian superstar Djokovic has won four of the last five Majors on offer, though the Women’s game remains fluid.

Osaka followed up her US Open triumph with victory in the 2019 Australian Open but her form has dipped, opening the door for Ashleigh Barty to claim her first Slam and Simona Halep to secure the Wimbledon title.
