The Kansas Jayhawks have enjoyed the comfort of home in their last two games, but now they have to hit the road. Their farewell week ends when they meet Cowboys Stadium in Oklahoma on Saturday. Kansas is a pillar, so they expect the size of the struggles to define the group.
Two weeks ago there was no victory for the Jayhawks in the Stars because the team never had the chance. They did not see themselves as the involuntary recipients of an unpleasant 10-38 blow to the bowels against the Kansas wildcats. Jayhawks fell 24-3 at the end of the third quarter, which was a very, very important recovery.
Meanwhile, everyone was attracted to the horned frogs of the state of Oklahoma and TCU, but the state of Oklahoma entered the second half. Oklahoma State played its match against TCU 34-27. RB Chuba Hubbard became a supernova for the Cowboys and ran for 223 yards and two touchdowns in 20 carries. Hubbard ranked third in the third quarter with a TD 92-yard touchdown on top.
The Oklahoma state defense also had three interceptions and one hit. S Kolby Peel caught two of those interceptions, one with 5:09 remaining in the first quarter, and the other with 10:52 in the last quarter.
The Oklahoma victory crushed them 6-1 while Kansas defeated them 3-1. A couple of figures to keep in mind: the Cowboys have an average of 267.7 yards per game on average, which is the ninth in the nation. Less predictably, the Jayhawks enter the game with the fifth highest number of yards allowed in any game in the country, with an average of 235.3. Then the cards will definitely face Kansas.
